this is out…so you should have it. but if you don’t, here’s a few to hold you over. the bobby digi albums have always given rza the chance to step out of new york and indulge his world-traveling, futuristic, pimp daddy side, and this one is no exception. the production is dope and this is his most west coast sound to date…so you know i’m feelin it.

so i’m in new york. most likely…for a minute. that’s my NY wheels right thurr. all original. she goes good, but she ain’t light. in honor of my east coast excursion, i thought i’d offer up an album that you better already have, but maybe not in glorious 320kbps mp3 format.

a lot of people think shadow hasn’t done anything that dope in awhile. the outsider wasn’t for everybody, hence the name. well, for those who only like the early shit, here’s The 4-Track Era, some type of promo only release.
DJ SHADOW – 4-TRACK ERA PART 1
DJ SHADOW – 4-TRACK ERA PART 2
and for those who still believe he can program some sick drums, or those who need convincing, here’s a brand new jam for the homeland.
or VIA ZSHARE

so my sister turned me on to these guys awhile ago. i’m sure you have already heard them, but here’s some bonus tracks and remixes that weren’t on the album or 12″. along with my favorite, “someway through this,” just in case you don’t have anything of theirs.

once again, you should be able to find the whole thing elsewhere. the two singles “everyone nose” and “spaz” are the standouts, but i think the album will grow on me. here’s the intro track, minus the intro-y part for cueing ease.

i’m not gonna post the whole thing, cuz you should be able to find it already. it’s worth picking up though. it took me like two days to get past the intro track, produced by a cat named maestro. he also did the ice cube “gangsta rap made me do it” beat and he’s got an intelligent and entertaining blog. plus he knows good shit when he hears it. maybe he can help me get “what a day” on weezy. i’d like to hear that. here’s that joint:
Lil Wayne – 3peat (prod. maestro) – despite what id says!
there’s good production from david banner, one and a half okay ones from kanye (out of 3), and an axelrod flip from swizz beats?! super basic chops but still the best beat i’ve ever him do. if he even did it.
anyway, here’s one more. i don’t know if it’s on the album, maybe a bonus track. same flip that common used not long ago, but they’re from different versions. and hi-tek used it a long time ago.
and for good measure, here’s the original version by miss nina simone.

so i finally got a couple tracks on a tv show. it’s a new show on the new channel supported by discovery, called PLANET GREEN. the show is called “alter-eco” and it premieres tonight from 7-8. i’m pretty sure my beats are on this debut episode, but i’m not sure. i’ll be at barragan’s drinking margaritas and playing records (see below) so maybe someone can tell me how it is.
oh yeah…it’s hosted by vincent chase!
