…but even broke folk hit the road sometimes. over the last month the crew has traveled to kansas city, oregon, philly, hawaii, connecticut, south dakota, milwaukee, south jersey, new york (up and fucking down), and even jolly london.
but we’re diggin and listening across every state border. and we have a slew of guests and special events in the works for august through the end of ‘08.
if you get this in time, i’ll be sitting in at kxlu today from about 11a-2p. also in the studio will be icy lytes, who should be a household name soon. i’m gonna play some smooth soul sample-heavy stuff, and then some unreleased shit from me and my friends.
please tune in.

so…it’s been a good year for broke folk so far, but the highlight is prolly when daedelus dj’ed with us at our temporarily suspended party “I LOVE LA.” (more on that to come) in fact…you can still cop his set over at our good friends mixtapemixtape.com.
anyway, the new album is nothing short of beautiful. how could it not be? go get it. here’s a couple to wet your whistle.
(sorry about all the zshare and megaupload stuff, we’ll be getting shit up on our own servers, but for the time being…..after all, i am posting this from a bus.)

i miss LA so bad right now. i got love for NY but i’m seriously missing my west coast funk. you remember that didddy jam “last night” where he tries to sing? i hear that everyday on hot 97. no joke. everyday.
so here’s the joint that’s been gettin me by. the east coast can keep all that funk flex, fat man scoop, chicken noodle soup crap…the west coast know it’s about time we GROW UP!!!!!
oh yeah….and produced by Dre.

this one is for my lady. i miss her a lot. i like these guys more than she does, but she saw them live not that long ago, and i think it really warmed her up. even though jay-z got most of the press out of this festival, this live set sounds like a fuckin blast. if you still think these guys are some hipster bullshit, i dare you to tell that to this crowd. oi-oi-oi!!!
1. Hot Chip & Wiley Wearing My Rolex
2. One Pure Thought
3. Out At The Pictures
4. Over And Over
5. Ready For The Floor
6. Nothin Compares To U/In The Privacy Of Our Love

co-produced by danger mouse. i think his mediocrity needs more exposure. a few of these sound like covers to me. the last song is alright. i’m only giving the whole album out because he’s a scientologist, and that’s what they deserve.
