…it’s that time of year. in and out of town and busy trying to cover our basic survival neccessities. besides, of everything i’ve been listening to lately, none of it has really been the type of quality I like to share with you guys. but the crew is all busy working on their own projects, so i’ll prolly be posting our own stuff sooner than anybody else’s.
also, the Little Joy, which hosts Broke Folk Fridays has had to undergo some construction. it is extremely poor timing, even if the work is good for the long run. we all eagerly await our re-opening, and we are praying that it comes this week…Black Friday. I’ll keep you all posted, many thanks to those who have written to say how much they miss their local throwdown spot.
and believe me….when we finally get to rock again, we’re gonna blow the new dry wall right off.

what can i say that hasn’t been said? tears of joy and sighs of relief. the passing of prop 8 makes my heart hurt, but this is only the beginning of that battle. (i am proposing some ammendments to be made to the Bible, check back soon on that one.)
but in the meantime, we have cause to celebrate!!! there may be a future for us after all. tonight we revel in the possibilities. and we embrace our differences and unite under the leadership of our new BLACK PRESIDENT. join us everybody tonight in drunken cheering and hugging.
