I get where your coming from…
But honestly, I thank blogs for letting me know such a feel good piece is out there. Shit is not happy-fucken-crappy around here these days (its our time to fucken sulk)… And The Very Best makes me feel I am in the tropics, dancing, drinking and fucking like there isn’t a care in the fucken world. Not here is freezing NYC, jobless, broke and looking for some fucking hope. You dig? The Very Best makes me feel good. I wouldn’t have known about it, more and likely, if I hadn’t been a blog whore.
So to answer your question: No I prob wouldn’t listen to it if it weren’t for blogs, they introduced me to something that I may not have found on my own. But I am NOT listening to it for their critical acclaim, fuck that, if I don’t like it I would’nt listen. Give people more credit man…
It has gotten popular with good promo and the fact people go on vocation for an hour or so… Its time for something new, listen to the soul of another world. Cool isn’t always rock, underground indie and hipsters…. Cool is what feels right. This shit is bangin and feels real good for those who are open to things other then their isolated, mainstream world.

Thanks for the post. S

Solid Gold regards,

AR
