as you may already know, Broke Folk Fridays at the Little Joy in Echo Park is over. after running for close to two and a half years, we have finally exited the building. although the timing was unfortunate, and nothing was ever handled professionally, it is all for the best. we had a good run in a good bar at the right time and rocked that shit. but the heyday is long gone, and although the bar is still there, the kids who wander over trying to find the place that that band is named after, will find a carcass. the writing on the walls has been painted over and the spirit has vanished like a bump off a urinal.
so…one last HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who got down with us and supported us during that run. the list is too long, but i’m humbled to even be on it. nothing but love. ever.
and in the meantime, we’re still playing all the time. i know i haven’t posted anything in a looong time, but it seems like more people read when i leave it alone anyway. go figure.
